Belt Alignment Switch
The Belt Alignment Switch is designed to facilitate safety and protect product and equipment in demanding environments such as mines and quarries.
While similar in function to the Belt Alignment and Tear Sensor in that it incorporates two separate units sited either side of your conveyor, this unit is equipped with a switch. When activated by a misalignment the conveyor can be stopped before any damage or spillage can occur.
The switch and associated terminals are mounted in a weatherproof plastic moulded enclosure, which in turn is mounted on a steel channel carrying the actuating arm. When misalignment is detected, the actuating arm rotates through 90° to a visible horizontal position.
The Belt Alignment Switch is certified intrinsically safe to the CENELEC standard EN50 020 category EEx ia I.
