Belt Sequence and Slip Roller
Davis Derby designed the Belt Sequence and Slip Roller to make conveyor sequencing easy and detect belt slip. As well as preventing spillages from your conveyor system, this module can also give early warning of potential belt fires.
The slip roller is available in two versions:
The cantilever version is mounted beneath the top belt and operates when the belt is fully loaded. A self–aligning bearing is fitted at the drive end of the shaft.
The bottom belt version is positioned adjacent to the conveyor structure where its three drive rollers are in contact with the flat underside of the conveyor belt. Sealed self–aligning bearings fitted at each end of the shaft provide the necessary support. This unit can replace a conventional belt roller to give maximum purchase between the conveyor belt and the drive rollers.
The unit’s magnetically coupled switch is enclosed in a robust steel case with a removable cover for easy installation of the incoming cables and speed adjustment.
The Conveyor Sequence and Slip Roller unit is certified intrinsically safe to the CENELEC standard EN50 020 category EEx ia I.
